The Future Site of Our Forever Home
If you are new to following our story, you may not know that our family recently purchased a little over 40 acres of land and are preparing to build our forever home. Here’s a photo of our land when we first bought it. It was completely undeveloped. Nothing but trees and brush. We had one small path large enough to fit a single small vehicle. At that time, we had no idea this would later become our drive-way leading up to our home.
A month later, we hired a contractor and they started clearing the site for our home.
These pictures were taken while the contractors were working.
This is our favorite area on the land.
While the land was being cleared, Ken set up a trail camera to see what wild animals we had walking around our land.
We went back a few days later and checked the memory card to see if we captured anything. Can you imagine how shocked we were when we saw this…
The site is now completely cleared and it’s almost prepared for the start of the build.

We have some exciting news to share with you. We have decided on a new floor plan for our forever home and we’re sharing it here for the very first time! Click here to check it out.
I also wanted to share the kitchen colors I’m leaning towards. Believe it or not, I’m thinking of not using white cabinets. Click here to see.
We are praying to start building our home soon. We were hoping to start in April but unfortunately we are still waiting for a well and we cannot begin until that is in place. We have been on the wait list for four months!

I just redid my kitchen with cabinets that color and I LOVE them. Can’t recommend a lighter gray cabinet enough. I was nervous because I’ve never really seen that color in person, but couldn’t be happier how it turned out.
