Hey ya’ll, do you remember a certain recipe your mom made when you were young that you just couldn’t get enough of? Well, my mama’s potato soup recipe is one of my all-time favorites from my childhood and I always ask her to make it when she visits. If you decide to try this recipe, let me know if you like it as much as I do.
My Mama's Potato Soup Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups fine chopped celery
3 cups cubed potatoes
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 slices american cheese
2 cups milk
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Begin by boiling celery in 5 cups of water.
While the celery is boiling, peel and cube 3 cups of potatoes.
Now add cubed potatoes to the boiling water and reduce heat.
Add 1 chicken bouillon cube and cook together until soft.
Add 2 slices of American cheese and stir until dissolved.
Now add 2 cups of milk.
Finally, add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
My mama has so many recipes that I love and she has passed them down to me. One day I’ll pass it down to my kids too. I hope you will try this recipe and love it as much as we do.
I have already asked her to make another one of my favorite recipes while she’s in town and we will try to have it posted next week. Stay tuned!
