Crispix Mix

Hey friends! Today I’m sharing one of our family’s favorite snacks/desserts. We call it Crispix Mix. My mom has made this recipe since I was young. She found it on the back of a cereal box and it has been a hit at every family gathering since. If you try this recipe, send me a message and let me know if your family loves it as much as ours.

Ingredients

12 Cups Crispix cereal
1 1/2 Cups Creamy Peanut Butter
1 1/2 Cups Light Corn Syrup (Karo is the name brand option)
Milk chocolate as desired
White chocolate as desired

Instructions

On medium heat, bring to boil 1 1/2 cups of peanut butter and 1 1/2 cups of light corn syrup. Stir continuously to ensure the mixture does not burn.

2. Place 12 cups of dry Crispix cereal into a large bowl.

3. Once peanut butter and corn syrup mixture has come to light boil, pour the mixture over the dry cereal and thouroughly mix.

4. Once cereal is coated with mixture, place on a large cookie sheet. Spread the mixture in a thin layer to cover the pan

5. Now, melt the milk chocolate and white chocolate in the microwave in 10 second increments, stirring between until the chocolate has melted completely.

6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture as shown in the picture below.

7. Chill the entire sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the mixture hardens. Once it’s cold, it’s ready to eat. It’s SO good y’all, I can’t wait to see what you think! If there is any left, you can store it in the refrigerator in a covered bowl or pyrex so it will not dry out.
