Lego Room: The Reveal

This is the first time I have shared my kiddos Lego room.  When we moved in to this house last year, we decided instead of making this closet a throw all, my four kids needed it to store their Lego’s.  I have never regretted this decision and this room has seen endless hours of playtime.  It has come in extra handy the last month while being stuck at home.  I thought this was the perfect time to give it a makeover and hang some decor on the walls.  The kids are loving it!

The Process

Our first step was to clear everything out of the room and clean it out.  Anytime I’m refreshing a room I like to do a deep clean.  While I was doing that, the twins separated their Lego’s and placed them in to the new bins we are using.

Next, we placed all the furniture back in the room and began hanging the decor on the walls.  I cut thin strips of mounting tape to hold the metal letters on the wall and small nails for the pictures.

Lastly, we moved all the Lego’s back in to the room and revealed it to the kids.

The kids are loving the new update to their Lego room!  Here’s a before and after shot so you can see the room transformation.

Lego Room Update

March 21, 2021 – We decided to update the Lego Room with a few shelves I found at IKEA.  Much like the initial reveal of the Lego Room, it needed to be cleaned out and organized before Ken could hang the shelves.

Sawyer may have something to do with that mess. 😉

After it was all cleaned out, Ken could actually hang the shelves.  This is what the box looks like from IKEA.  You can use the name to search the inventory at your local store to find out if they have them in stock.

Here’s the final pictures with the shelves added to the room.  It adds a storage area and gives them another area to play.

The kids added Lego minifigures and other small Lego builds to the shelves.  The ladders are super cute!

Yes! Love it! We made our grandkids a “playroom” in the closet under our staircase! It is so cute! Our little toddlers love it also! Even our 9 year old gets in there and shuts the door for quite time with his nintendo switch! I will send you a pic when I clean it back up today from their mess yesterday lol!
