Since my mama was in town and making some of my favorite meals, I wanted to share another one of my favorite recipes with y’all. This Quickie Cabbage Rolls recipe is something my mama would make often during my childhood. It’s so good and such an easy recipe.
Quickie Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients
1 small head of cabbage finely chopped
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
3/4 cups minute rice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 small tomato sauce
3 cups water
Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Begin by browning ground beef in pot. While browning, finely chop 1 small head of cabbage and 1/2 an onion. Place the chopped cabbage in a pre-greased 9×13 baking pan and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Once the meat is browned, add the chopped onion and mix. Then add 3/4 cups of minute rice, 2 small cans of tomato sauce, salt, black pepper, and 3 cups of water. Allow to cook on the stove top for 10 minutes.
Once the meat mixture has cooked for 10 minutes, spoon the mixture over the chopped raw cabbage in the baking pan. When finished, sprinkle parmesan cheese on the top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. When finished, remove from oven and serve.
I like to add some sour cream to mine.
I hope you will try this recipe with your family and love it as much as we do. If you do, make sure to comment on this blog or tag me on Instagram! I love to see when you try something I suggest, so fun!!

My mom has been craving cabbage rolls so I’m going to make it this week! Can you clarify what size/type of “small tomato sauce” you use?
